Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure QC works continuously during the shift and work continues until the relief driver is ready to take control of the QC (“hot seat” changeover)
2. Perform operational and safety checks of the QC and the surrounding work area before the commencement of work. Identify and report defects to the concerned supervisor.
3. Liaise with the Hatch clerk to understand actual QC Crane working areas.
4. Work to the instructions indicated on the radio data terminal located in the QC/MHC cabin.
5. Report any damage and/or malfunctions of the crane / of containers/cargo to the Shift in charge - Operations / Executive Operations / Tower Controller as observed.
6. Report any damages found in the vessel, while operating in hatches to the Tower Controller.
7. Undertake assigned tasks as required during non driving periods.
8. Ensure the compliance of IGTPL / DP World Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
