What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and provide accurate information to patients regarding insurance billing and payment responsibilities
- Read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to assist patients
- Ensure patient billing information is accurate and up-to-date
- Research authorization benefits with insurance companies or online resources
- Process refund requests and inform patients about medical office policies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED, with some college preferred
- At least one year of ophthalmology billing experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM), specifically NextGen, is strongly preferred
- Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
- Knowledge of insurance processes and healthcare experience
- Prior customer service or call center experience
