The Florida Commission on Human Relations is the state agency charged with enforcing the state’s civil rights laws and serves as a resource on human relations for the people of Florida. What will I be doing?
The OPS Investigation Specialist I is a highly professional position performed under the supervision of an Investigator Supervisor. The successful candidate conducts Fair Housing Investigations.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Gathering and recording information accurately and thoroughly through interviews and/or correspondence with parties involved in the investigation.
Conducting research and collecting facts pertaining to any complaint assigned and must be able to write Investigative Memorandum reports within the statutory timeframes.
Testifying and appearing before the Commission panels and in civil court proceedings and administrative hearings regarding investigative findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
PreferencesPreference will be given to those individuals who possess a bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in any of the following fields: investigative work, HUD Investigations.
