- Degree or equivalent experience
- Recognised post graduate qualification or equivalent experience in leadership and management / OD / HR / L&D/ Employee Experience
- Experience of working in people and culture at a senior level in a complex environment
- Evidence of designing and delivering a range of staff experience or engagement plans and interventions to deliver improved outcomes
- Knowledge of a range of OD and staff engagement concepts, and ability to convey key messages in line with our values

Job summary

Do you have an understanding of the NHS People Promise and experience of designing, delivering, and evaluating staff engagement and experience activities?
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of our strategic staff experience plan. As part of our Transformation, OD, and Inclusion team, you will focus on our engagement and experience activity to improve the experience of our workforce throughout the employee lifecycle. You will also lead on delivery of NHS Staff Survey and Quarterly People Pulse processes, ensuring that data insights inform our delivery plans.
Main duties of the job
Working within the wider People and Culture teams, & across the organisation, you will:
Identify, diagnose & plan to address staff experience, engagement, OD, & inclusion needs
Work with leaders at all levels to develop shared accountability for staff experience
Embed inclusion & belonging principles into all approaches ensuring a focus on reducing disparities in experience, opportunities, & outcomes
Manage and monitor the NHS Staff Survey process, working with the Staff Survey contractor & national team as required
Increase staff survey participation & engagement, manage, analyse & disseminate results & support Divisional teams to develop improvement action plans
Promote staff engagement as a key enabler of positive staff experience, transformation & innovation
Utilise a data driven approach to target areas & themes for focused activity
Collaborate with wider People and Culture Teams, as well as Trade Unions, Staff Networks, QI, & others to develop & triangulate data & soft intelligence. Support interventions to address identified hotspots
Design, deliver, & evaluate interventions including facilitation of engagement & listening events, workshops, & team development
Develop & proactively manage staff experience projects, both individually & in conjunction with the People Promise Manager
Support the planning & administration of the Trust's Sponsor Group, ensuring timely information, reporting & that actions are progressed & that the group is engaging and representative.
