      Job Description:

      As an architect, he/she is expected to design OSS solution for large telecom service providers. Integrating multiple and diverse application, hardware and network platforms to provide an end to end OSS solution. Ability to manage the solution design activity with techno-business perspective is critical. He/She will be responsible for product selection, changes to the solution for meeting contractual specifications, impact analysis and solution change management.

      Assisting the client in their business decision making process is an added responsibility. The job will involve extensive customer interfacing. As a consultant/architect, the candidate is expected to manage custom application development based solution needs as well as solutions based on commercially available OSS products

      Product Expertise

      SME level expertise on COTS Products

      • Functional/hands on knowledge on best of breed or best of suite OSS COTS products spanning service fulfillment and service assurance domains
      • Knowledge in the area of order management (COM & SOM), provisioning & activation, network and service inventory, discovery & reconciliation, fault and performance management, service quality and SLA management, ITSM etc.
      • Knowldege in Product evaluation methodologies

      Job Requirements:

      - 8-15 years of experience in SI projects domain for telecom service providers – Wireline or wireless domain expertise preferred

      - Experience of having managed at least one SI project as an end-to-end OSS solution architect encompassing service fulfillment and service assurance

      - Thorough knowledge of OSS solutions and telecom business processes is a must

      - Architect large systems – providing guiding principles to deployment teams in right-sizing of servers for hardware, databases and applications – providing inputs to internal teams and COTS vendors in a system-integration environment. This includes cloud and bare-metal hosting.

      - Ability to map business processes to solution requirements – knowledge of TMForum Frameworx including Open APIs

      - System integration skills and techniques using various industry standard protocols

      - Consulting skills and ability to manage a diverse team of technical architects

      - Knowledge of S/W development processes and methodologies along with project management exposure is desirable and more specifically agile ways of working

      - Strong communication, presentation and documentation skills

      - Experience in engaging customer teams in requirement gathering and definition

      - Vendor management/interaction on technical matters

      - Product evaluation using standard based framework or through custom developed framework

      Technical Experience required:

      Domain Skills (Mandatory)

      · Must have good experience on Telco OSS stack, Network, Inventory experience is a must

      · Should have proficiency in the Telecommunication domain – with extensive work done in the following area: wireless, data, content, fixed mobile convergence (FMC-UMA) and wireline products/ services

      · Should have worked in the area of OSS landscape for at least 8 to 15 years for Telecom service providers. He/She should have a good understanding of end-to-end process flow spanning O2A & T2R areas

      · The candidate should have experience in design and architecture of large enterprise systems - a large part of which should be in developing solutions for Telecom Service Providers

      · The candidate should have extensive experience working with System Integrators, ISVs and in-house IT teams

      · Experience in leading COTS products and functional knowledge

      · Candidates should have experience on integration of COTS product with EMS/ NMS, network equipment and other OSS – BSS tools

      · Knowledge on enterprise architecture framework TOGAF and Zachman is desirable

      · Knowledge of using EA tools like EA Architect, Visios,etc.

      · Exposure to new generation services like 5G and hybrid networks along with traditional services is preferred
