What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Reconcile ambulance trips in the billing system to ensure thorough documentation
- Monitor and manage CheckPoint queues for assigned Operations
- Work with Operations to correct any missing or erroneous information from billing returns
- Search for additional patient demographics and insurance information as needed
- Process customer complaints efficiently, ensuring resolution and satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one month knowledge of HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other critical regulations
- Experience with computer programs and general public interaction preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- EMT certification/licensure or medical experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines related to ambulance billing preferred
- Previous experience in the medical industry preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer functions preferred
