      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters based on medical record documentation
      - Review and validate accuracy of Admission-Discharge-Transfer (ADT) data fields and perform necessary coding corrections
      - Collaborate with leadership to obtain additional information for incomplete or ambiguous documentation
      - Follow charge verification processes and route accounts based on missing or inaccurate charges
      - Participate in performance improvement initiatives as assigned

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 5 years of coding experience in an acute care hospital
      - Validation of coding certification (e.g., RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CPC-H)
      - Knowledge of coding conventions and CMS Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting ICD-10-CM coding
      - Excellent written and oral communication skills
      - Proficient in a Windows environment with basic word processing and MS Office skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - BS or AS degree in Health Information Management Administration or Health Information Technician
      - Experience in a Level 1 Academic medical center
