The Extra Laborer is responsible for physically lifting heavy inventory for an arena floor construction. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment. What will you do? Reporting to their schedule shifts on time and in uniform. Physically lifting heavy equipment for arena event changeovers. Picking, sweeping, mopping and detailing all forms of arena bowl cleaning. Extra Laborers are also specifically responsible for moving trash, handling basketball court, sports floor, portable chairs, hockey glass and hockey dash. Operating forklifts and pallet jacks (both powered and non-powered). They are also required to maintain a safe, clean and professional working environment. Extra Laborers should have prior experience working with tools and must be able to learn several tasks including rigging and the use of snow removal equipment. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB: This position includes heavy lifting and cleaning. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends. Please note this is a Seasonal Event driven role: During peak season (October – April) we schedule associates an average of 3-4 nights a week. In the off season (May- September) associates are scheduled on an average of 0-2 nights per week, based on the needs of the business and their availability Employee schedules are performance based.
