      Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, Our P-3 Program in Lake Charles, Louisiana, wants you to join our team as a SCA Administrative Assistant. This is a Critical Program under the Customs Border and Protection. This position is located in Lake Charles, LA.

      This is a Service Contract Act position.

      In addition to secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements), this position will provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities. You may be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.

      You will perform a variety of administrative duties providing mission support in one or more functions or business areas within the customer directorates. The nature of Administrate Assistant work varies from transactional in nature and requires general knowledge of process to moderately complex and very complex tasks which demands a high degree of autonomy and latitude in planning; organizing; and decision making to fulfill work requirements.

      Essential functions consist of (but not limited to):

      • Maintain professional demeanor and act with integrity with all levels of the organization

      • Provide support to leadership and team to gather or convey relevant information

      • Coordinating calendars, travel arrangements, expense reports and all forms of correspondence

      • Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for communications, reporting, presentations, and other various tasks (i.e., coordinate calendars and meetings, assembling presentations, documenting processes and knowledge sharing)

      • Procure material and supplies to support organization using corporate card and internal purchasing systems

      • Answer questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures

      • Use your trong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

      • Troubleshoot and work with minimal supervision

      • Process facility work orders and repair requests

      • Participate in meetings and events; may serve as recorder and may present position-related information

      • Use your experience to be an exceptional team player, interface well at all levels in the organization

      • Use your ability to be collaborative, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, detail oriented, and assertive as necessary and able to execute projects and tasks independently

      • Protect and maintain confidentiality

      • Scheduling and hosting online meetings via Zoom and Teams

      • Utilize company travel applications (i.e., Concur) to make travel reservations and to process expense reports as required

      • Other duties as assigned

      Basic Qualifications:

      • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 5 years of Administrative Assistance experience.

      • Strong written and verbal communications skills

      • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Software

      • Ability to clearly communicate on a professional/executive level and practice the highest level of discretion

      • Experience being a team player and possess good interpersonal skills

      • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation issued from the Dept of Homeland Security. (Required to maintain this position).

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Ability to exercise good judgment while demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts, and providing excellent follow-through

      • Experience participating and hosting in-person and remote video teleconference meetings (such as Zoom, Skype, MS Teams)

      • A current Interim Secret or above clearance.

      Salary Range: $21.90 - $25.00

      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
