      The role is responsible for correctly, safely and efficiently processing, packaging and warehousing salt products for a salt manufacturing and packaging facility.

      Job Type: Full Time
      Shift Available: 3rd shift Sun - Wed 8pm - 6am

      Compensation: $20.00/hr plus $0.45 shift differential

      Principal Accountabilities:
      • Strict compliance with our HAACP/Food Safety Program.

      • Minor maintenance, service, and adjustment of associated equipment (i.e., bulk, mini-bulk, forklift, and any other associated equipment.

      • Strict compliance with all bulk rail and truck loading procedures and standards

      • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping duties (Master Sanitation Schedule) as required.

      • Accurate and timely completion of all related paperwork.

      • Strict compliance with safe operation of forklift and track mobile.

      • Overtime will be determined on a case by case basis dependent on business needs.

      • Operator maintenance responsibilities will include trouble shooting and minor maintenance repairs.

      • Strict compliance with safe work rules, good housekeeping practices and specified QC/QA policies/procedures/standards.

      • Operating logs, records and data consistently and accurately maintained.

      • Operation of computer programs to maintain logs, schedules on SAP, Rt-duett, etc.

      • Operation of forklifts and associated warehousing equipment and SAP.

      • Perform any miscellaneous duties assigned including but not limited to: minor maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance tasks, housekeeping tasks, product quality testing tasks, confined space entries (bin entries), repalletizing/disposal of distressed products, etc.

      • Complete all Food Safety requirements as outlined by the HACCP program.


      Requirements:

      • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

      • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility

      • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable

      • Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.

      • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

      • Ability to operate machinery

      • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

      • Basic use of a computer

      • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice

      Preferred:

      • At least (1 year) of experience in a production or plant environment

      • Forklift experience

      • High School diploma or equivalent

      • Experience with Inventory Systems
