Job Description

- Support the day-to-day activities and projects of the enterprise-wide Legal department.
- Support company state filings and insurance coverages.
- Develop and implement procedures for contract management and document retention in compliance with company policy.
- Track and review outside counsel (including bill management and budgeting).
- Prepare, track, organize, and file various documents, including but not limited to, secretary of state filings, insurance policies, company and individual license applications, renewals, and other reports and documents, as needed.
- Assist with legal and compliance projects, including due diligence (vendor and client), necessary filings, and policy updates.
- Collaborate with Corporate counsel to analyze and respond to subpoena requests and other litigation issues.
- Update and maintain tracking spreadsheets, such as, but not limited to, approval and product spreadsheets and budgets.
- Set up and track Legal files.
- Assist with template creation and formatting upon provided direction.
- Responsible for reporting risks identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in business or related field; or a minimum of five years of legal experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Corporate paralegal or risk/legal background.
- Paralegal certificate
- 5+ Years as a paralegal (either in a law firm or in-house role)
- Experience in Financial institution and/or credit union
- Thorough knowledge of a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the business registration process with the secretary of state.
- Knowledge of Contract Management Databases (i.e. Aaviner and IntelAgree).
- Proficient PC knowledge and the use of standard software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, and ability to convey instructions.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize workload using good judgment, while balancing the need for an immediate response with accuracy and completeness of information.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, driving solutions to completion.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, while meeting demanding deadlines.

Pay Equity
$67,700.00to
$86,300.00Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
