Job Description

- Provide support to attorneys on the CareSource Legal team
- Act as first level responder to internal and external inquiries related to areas of responsibility
- Review and/or prepare a variety of legal documents including affidavits, contracts, correspondence, forms, filings, leases, legal notices, memorandums, and responses to government agencies
- Effectively research and summarize legal issues using search engines, articles, judicial decisions, and other resources
- Initiate, gather and analyze information related to various legal issues and make recommendations
- Effectively prioritize workload and monitor deadlines
- Accurately communicate relevant and potentially sensitive information to and from internal and external partners
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgment
- May handle administrative responsibilities delegated by senior attorneys
- Perform any other job duties as requested
- Associate’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
- Five (5) years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is required
- Healthcare and/or managed care experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytic, research and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong customer service and team orientation
- Ability to excel in fluid, dynamic environment
- Excellent critical thinking and listening skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent time/project management and prioritization skills
- Notary Public or willing to obtain Notary and eNotary commission preferred
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

$53,400.00 - $85,600.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
