      About the Team VIZIO is looking for a Paralegal/IP Support Specialist to join an established Legal team and assist with business and intellectual property litigation matters, transactional work, and various other legal and administrative tasks. Strong initiative, communication, responsiveness, organization and follow-through are essential for this job. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully support various workstreams across the legal, accounting, finance, and HR departments. The ability to maintain confidentiality and to operate in the role with the highest ethical standards and professionalism are required. What You Will Do Coordinate the intake of new legal matters and day-to-day case details under the general supervision of in-house counsel. Maintain calendars for litigation and IP administrative deadlines. Conduct or assist with electronic discovery collection, including investigation and analysis as necessary. Manage and update databases and workflows across legal functions. Conduct initial trademark investigations and clearance searches. Communicate with outside counsel to help manage Company’s interests in litigation and other matters. Oversee and manage the payment of patent maintenance fees through third-party software. Track legal spend against budget. Other duties as assigned. About You 2-5 years of business/IP litigation experience is required. A combination of in-house and law firm experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate (or equivalent) is required. Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with Adobe Productivity Suite, ContractWorks, Docusign, Mimecast, Sharepoint, or other legal management software a plus. Exceptional organization skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels in and out of the organization. Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity, and trust-building behaviors in all dealings are essential and required. The maximum pay for this position $45.19/hour. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
