Responsibilities - Process Development: Create and implement efficient systems for claims handling and legal operations.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with leadership to develop legal frameworks and procedures.
- Legal Research & Documentation: Conduct research, draft/review legal documents, and prepare case summaries and exhibits.
- Case Management: Lead file organization, schedule proceedings, and track case statuses.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure legal compliance and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications - Minimum of an Associate's degree in law studies or a related field. Prior experience as a paralegal in an organization with 500+ employees is strongly preferred.
- Certification from an accredited paralegal program (e.g., NALA, NFPA, or equivalent).
- Proficient in legal research, drafting, and writing, with a strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and processes.
- Excels in critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Highly skilled in legal software, Microsoft Office, and document management systems.
- Effectively organizes case files, tracks deadlines, and ensures efficient handling of legal documents.
