Prepare sections of a financial plan
Prepare meeting agendas
Input and prepare personal and trust (T1 and T3) tax returns
Review Notices of Assessment
Review quarterly instalments
Review RRSP/TFSA/RESP contribution limits and transactions
Respond to CRA requests for back up documentation
Submit tax adjustments and follow-up
Verify client tax information from CRA website
Assemble financial plans for PWAs
Attend client meetings and prepare meeting summaries
Degree or diploma in finance or related field
Financial planning designation (CFP) or in the process of obtaining the designation
CIM, CFA designation an asset
Canadian Securities (CSC) or in the process of obtaining is an asset.
Minimum three years related experience.
T1 Tax season experience (minimum 2 years).
Proficiency in French (both written and spoken) is considered an asset.

As an integral part of the Wealth team, the Paraplanner assists Private Wealth Advisors (PWA) by onboarding new clients and regular client maintenance, preparing documentation for meetings, preparing tax returns and corresponding with CRA on tax issues.

This role requires a meticulous, process-oriented individual capable of managing tight deadlines. They will possess strong interpersonal and multitasking skills and be able to prioritize client-centric service. Adaptability and a collaborative spirit are also essential, as this role involves working closely with our Private Wealth Advisory team to create tailored financial plans and adapt to industry changes.
The incumbent is known for their passion for building client relationships and delivering concierge, boutique service to clients. They have a strong commitment to continuous learning and being a self-starter who collaborates effectively with the team. They can handle confidential information, adapt to change, and maintain a positive disposition while displaying a high personal integrity and a passion for client service.
