What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with products and services
- Manage rentals and inventory using smartphone-based U-Scan technology
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
- Clean and inspect equipment, checking fluid levels as necessary
- Prepare rental invoices and process returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability for part-time work, including weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to perform both inside and outside duties
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance or repair
- Experience using technology for inventory management
- Ability to obtain certifications for forklift operation and propane filling
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
