What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) representative in managing IT investments
- Assess financial and program data provided by functional representatives for input into various repositories
- Conduct trend analysis and make recommendations to optimize IT resources
- Analyze financial data to monitor investment-level project status and identify gaps in spending
- Prepare detailed financial information and communicate results to client management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred)
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in financial management
- Working knowledge of data collection and analysis methods
- Familiarity with financial regulations and requirements
- Experience working within DoD IT repositories including SNaP-IT, DITPR, and DITIP
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree (MA, MS, MBA) in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (counts as one year of experience)
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) (counts as one year of experience)
- Previous experience in DoD Budget Management
- Experience in a CPIC role
