What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate students' in-class discussions during group work and student-centered activities
- Assist students outside of class by holding problem-solving sessions
- Participate in weekly instructional team meetings
- Assist new Learning Assistants in the course and observe evening Learning Assistant sessions
- Meet regularly with the Mathematics Learning Assistants Program coordinators

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong mathematical background in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations
- Experience assisting students in group work settings
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under the supervision of a course coordinator or faculty member
- Successful completion of required background checks, including PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Check

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience as a Learning Assistant or in a similar mentoring role
- Familiarity with student-centered teaching methods
- Interest in mathematics education and supporting diverse learners
