Psychologist Job Description:

Under broad supervision, evaluates behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders for justice-involved youth placed in secure residential facilities. Applies theory relating to behavior and mental processes to formulate and administer treatment programs as a clinical member of a multidisciplinary team. Helps youth work toward the maintenance and enhancement of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social functioning.

· Provide clini cal sup e rvision to behavioral health staff,

· Evaluate and mon i tor mental health clinic al s ervic es to e nsure they are b eing deliveredin ac c ordance with profess i o nal standards,

· Provide clini cal treatment servic es to youth, including individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and psychoeducational programming,

· Prov ide c o nsultation and/or crisis inter vention for y o uth who present eme rgent issues that p ose a p o t e ntial risk to the mselves or oth e r s,

· Provide clinic al e du cation, con s ultation a nd leadership for staff who work in secure residential facilities,

· Provide on-call remote consultation.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice psychology. Note: License may be temporary, provisional, or permanent.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with justice involved youth in residential treatment settings,

· Experience providing clinical supervision to treatment staff,

· Training and experience in trauma-focused interventions
