What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in various soilborne disease projects in the lab, greenhouse, and field
- Follow safety and research protocols while conducting experiments
- Perform molecular lab tasks such as DNA extractions and running PCRs/qPCRs
- Process incoming soil and plant samples and collect field samples with team members
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and perform independent tasks as needed

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to follow safety and research protocols
- Willingness to learn how to make buffers and lab solutions
- Experience with molecular lab tasks, including DNA extractions and PCR/qPCRs
- Capability to lift around 50 pounds of weight with or without accommodation
- Valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Direct experience working with plants, soil, and microbial culturing
- Previous involvement in research projects related to microbial ecology
