What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist incoming first-year students in navigating LionPath, Starfish, and Canvas platforms
- Help students enroll in summer and fall courses
- Greet and check in students during the Eberly College of Science Academic Consultation on Zoom
- Participate in training sessions and attend NSO programs throughout the summer
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth orientation experience

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a current 2nd semester student at Penn State in good academic standing
- Availability for training on May 7 and NSO programs from May 12 - July 10 and August 11 - 14, 2025
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals
- Preference for students pursuing a major in the Eberly College of Science (Biology majors preferred but not required)

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in mentoring or advising roles
- Familiarity with the LionPath, Starfish, and Canvas platforms
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to various situations and work effectively under pressure
