      This will be a very supporting role, where you will be playing a fundamental part in ensuring a smooth patient journey by following and documenting the complete patient pathway.

      This is a permanent part-time position (22.5 hpw)

      Youll be working, three days a week from 07:00 to 15:00 on a rata basis

      Covering Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays or a Saturday

      Main duties of the job

      As one of our Theatre Healthcare Assistants, you will be assisting members of the theatre department, setting up theatres ready for your patients treatment to take place. The way you will set up a theatre will be depended on each individual patents case.

      You will be expected to have gained up to date knowledge of your patient, by investigating the patent pathway, it will then be your responsibility of adding to and following that patents pathway, ensuring particulars such as; consent obtained before any treatment is carried out.

      It will be a case that your patients will be anesthetized, so there will not be so much of that verbal interaction with the patents in your care. You will need to ensure that your patient is prepared and ready with all necessary checks conducted prior to a for a treatment taking place, during a procedure. youll be ensuring that your patient receives a high standard of care by carrying out your routine monitoring.

      You will need to competently an accurately update patient records, ensuring the patient pathway is being followed and documented.

      As the Healthcare Assistant, you will be conscious of health, safety and hygiene aspects in a theatre. Not only will you look to make sure the theatre is clean, you will monitor and look for potential hazards, ensuring they are made safe or the issue is quickly bright to the attention or the Theatre Manger.

      About us

      You might have past experience of working in a care home, hospital or clinical environment and might have already completed the NVQ level 1&2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

      You will a strong communicator, confident to converse at all levels, both written and verbal. You will be communicating with a wide range of people, from internal colleagues from varied departments to patients, their families and friends.

      You will computer literate, confident with writing letters, and emailing internal and external parties relating toy your patients care. You should be familiar with MS office tools and have examples of having to quickly learn a new system as you will be using our in-house system on a daily basis.
