- Lead/Support complex themes involving HCM Mfg. & Design and our supply base.
- Offer technical viewpoint – drawing/specification interpretation & application to parts.
- Support department business plan initiatives and daily management.
- Monitor quality trends; identify root cause; implement cost effective corrective actions.
- Pass rate follow up and investigation
- Line Support (part verification); judging part quality acceptance levels, while maintaining Honda Quality Systems: Occurrence, Containment, Corrective Action.
- Outflow prevention support including - yard containment, inspection, part repair and Quality Assurance Visits (QAV) at supplier
- Managing supplier relationships – NARS (North American Reporting System) communicate results to management.
- Review and approve supplier control plans and FMEAs
- Completed Post-Secondary technical degree or technical diploma and/or minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Experience working with quality systems and tools (e.g. SPC, Vernier, CMM, etc.)
- Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders regarding high impact quality concerns
- Manufacturing or process experience with various plastic injection, blow molding, metal forming, chassis, electrical and various welding methods.
- Strong organizational skills - ability to manage multiple conflicting demands.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; valid B1 visa or valid Canadian Passport for business travel required at time of application.
- Willing and able to work overtime (including weekends) on short notice.
- Willing and able to work flexible shift rotation.
- Valid ‘G’ driver’s license.
- Strong CAD software experience
- Experience facilitating projects involving manufacturing, engineering, and quality.
- Quality investigations involving factory and suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience in project management & leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and Statistical Process Control
- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings and understanding of GD&T

Salary Range: $69,283.00-89,661.00 annually. Plus overtime and bonuses.
The Parts Quality department is responsible for both supplied parts quality, and final vehicle quality throughout the vehicle life cycle – from design development input, through to mass production and field quality. Under general supervision, you will be responsible for performing visual inspections, as well as mechanical and functional verification of parts and design to align with HCM quality standards. The MP Quality Rep will effectively develop and lead cross-functional process improvements within the department, and investigate the root causes of failures and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
