What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and network status, creating pre-service liability estimates
- Secure prior authorizations for both scheduled and non-scheduled services
- Act as a liaison between payers and clinic staff, resolving issues during the prior authorization process
- Document all interactions and maintain accurate records related to authorizations
- Assist in financial evaluations and collections for self-pay balances, ensuring compliance with policies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience in Patient Access Services, Practice Operations, or Patient Financial Services
- Certification as a Healthcare Access Associate, Certified Patient Account Representative, or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative required
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a diverse healthcare team
- High attention to detail and proficiency in data entry with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or higher may substitute for required experience
- Epic experience is preferred
- Familiarity with patient registration systems and intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
