      Job Summary

      This role will provide pastoral leadership to all Gateway campuses in the area of Care which provides ministry and emotional, relational, and financial assistance to individuals and families of Gateway Church. This position will also require an understanding of the role of a pastor with the skills necessary to facilitate work while operating with the knowledge of Gateway’s ministries, processes, and policies in order to maintain Gateway Church’s DNA. Understanding the relational connection between campus and Central Ministries is critical as well as having a high degree of organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communicative skills. This role will develop, implement, strategize, and champion Care Strategies for Gateway Church across all campuses, as well as provide Care and counseling to Gateway staff.

      Principal Job Responsibilities

      • Cast vision and provide pastoral leadership for all Gateway campus Care teams.
      • Design a scalable and reproducible model that coincides with the overall Care ministry mission.
      • Represent Care in churchwide decisions and meetings with the Central team.
      • Collaborate with Communications department on behalf of Care teams for clear communication for the congregation.
      • Develop training for Care teams and Care pastors at each campus.
      • Develop strategic plan and budget for Care Ministries.
      • Oversee, create, and support the Pastor-On-Call (POC) rotation for Central.
      • Fulfill weekend pastoral rotation responsibilities.
      • Lead Care Pastors meetings on a regular basis.
      • Develop a Staff Care Program.
      • Identify, train, and deploy a Central Staff Care team.
      • Identify and partner with area professional Christian counselors for referral use.
      • Provide vision and systems for benevolence distribution.
      • Provide training and resources for life events – including, but not limited to:
        • Pre-Marital & Marital Counseling
        • Weddings
        • Birth & Adoptions
        • Bereavements & Funerals

      • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
      • Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems

      • Sit/stand for long periods of time
      • Occasionally kneel, or crouch
      • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
