What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Consistently practice the Patients First philosophy and maintain high standards of customer service
- Collect and verify patient demographic information in accordance with organizational standards
- Schedule appointments and perform medical necessity checks as required
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding insurance and referrals
- Participate in Quality Assurance reviews to ensure integrity of patient data
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional education or certifications
- Additional language skills
- Experience in healthcare finance and/or healthcare insurance
- Familiarity with patient scheduling and registration in a healthcare setting
