Accounts Receivable Representative - A/R Collections

THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND

We’re looking for passionate and detail-oriented people to join our billing team. This role works with the finance manager and/or clinical staff to correct any issues with charges for diagnosis for visits. You will research and communicate to patients regarding insurance benefits and the patient's financial responsibility, while making sure insurance is verified and entered correctly.

OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU

• Review and manage patient accounts to ensure timely billing and collections
• Following up on outstanding claims and denials with insurance companies
• Negotiating with payers to ensure appropriate reimbursement
• Partner with insurance companies to resolve any billing/insurance related issues or concerns including dispute resolution
• Maintain accurate documentation of collections efforts
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective billing and collections processes
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and policies related to patient billing, insurance and collections

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• You have a High school diploma or equivalent
• You have a minimum of three years experience in medical office; billing and collections experience preferred
• Ophthalmology experience a plus
• Mult-Provider practice, Multispecialty (Mid-Size to Large practice) a plus
• You have excellent communication and follow up skills
• You're organized, detail oriented and can easily multi-task
• You have a deep understanding of 3rd party insurances o
• You're a team player
