- Greeting and directing all patients.
- Responding to appointment requests that come through our online system.
- Making appointments.
- Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate.
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
- Advising patients of practice procedures.
- Registering new patients.
- Accurately maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning.

- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

- Strong IT and administration skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Some flexibility, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
- Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

Job summary
The De Parys Group (TDPG) has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive patient and clinical support team member to join our team, on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This role is pivotal in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone.
General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.

About us
The De Parys Groups priority is to provide the highest standard of clinical care to the 38,000 patients registered with the practice. We aim to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and support organisations, to enable more patients to be treated in a primary care setting, closer to home. We embrace a continuous improvement ethos and strive to ensure that we are available to patients when they need a consultation. We have a strong training ethos within the practice with a team of medical and non-medical educators as well as opportunities for non-clinical staff to develop and progress.
TDPG is fortunate to have its own dispensaries at our De Parys and Bromham sites. In addition to our routine GMS services, we offer a comprehensive range of services including minor surgery, LARC provision and anticoagulation clinics.
We have high QOF achievement and excellent KPIs within the group.
