Our Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) will provide administrative and practical support to Aspire Fertility Austin patients, preparing them for treatment by providing information regarding each clinical aspect of the treatment cycle, as determined by the physician. The PCC works in a collaborative relationship with physicians, the care team, and the clinical department, as well as with other Aspire Fertility Austin departments and employees. The PCC will be responsible for initial patient contact following the patient’s first consultation and will educate patients on pretreatment requirements to ensure excellent patient care.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Essential Responsibilities:

• Works collaboratively with physicians, clinical team members, and other employees. Provides administrative and practical support to Aspire Fertility Austin patients to ensure exceptional patient experience.
• In coordination with other team members, ensures all pre-cycle testing and procedures are complete, proactively remaining in contact and tracking patients throughout the precycle process.
• Answers/returns patient calls and portal messages or forwards, as appropriate licensed personnel for matters which require interpretation of test results, treatment recommendations, or clinical review.
• Maintains strict confidentiality, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Operates within the permissible scope of practice.
• Reviews patient charts and physician notes, evaluates plan for care, determines whether tests ordered have been completed, and arranges for any missing or new diagnostic testing to be completed.
• Educates patient about the appropriate process and timeline from testing to treatment.
• Able to articulate information of medical nature, including but not limited to explanation of medical testing and pretreatment requirements.
• Provides patient with physician recommendations and cycle information by uploading documents to the patient chart.
• Schedules patient for follow-up with the physician once all precycle testing is complete.
• Enters outside records and lab work into the patient chart for all new patients.
• Acts as a resource for other staff, physicians, and management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare administration required
• Prior experience in reproductive medicine preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish a plus!
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong leadership skills, ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative.
• Effective organizational, communication, and computer skills are a must.
