What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Pre-register and schedule patients for appointments, procedures, and tests in a timely manner
- Handle incoming calls and manage follow-up and referral work queues
- Communicate effectively with patient care teams to ensure appropriate care
- Accurately enter data into the electronic health record while interacting with patients
- Support various population management and chronic disease management initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical healthcare experience, or 1 year as a Patient Scheduler I, or 1 year in a contact/call center
- Completion of Healthcare Business Insight’s Patient Access Certification Program within six months of hire
- Ability to manage high call volumes and complex scheduling
- Proficiency in patient identification, registration, and scheduling processes
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work as part of a care team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting or with electronic health records
- Familiarity with population management and chronic disease management initiatives
- Skills in data entry and managing multiple service lines
- Previous experience in a high-call-volume environment
