What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Pre-register and schedule patients for appointments, procedures, tests, and other services
- Answer incoming calls and manage follow-up and referral work queues
- Communicate with patient care teams to ensure efficient care for patients
- Complete patient checkout and schedule follow-up appointments as per physician's orders
- Accurately enter data into electronic health records while interacting with patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical healthcare experience, or
- 1 year of experience as a Patient Scheduler I, or
- 1 year of experience in a contact/call center
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in scheduling multiple service lines in a healthcare environment
- Familiarity with population management and chronic disease management initiatives
