What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule new patients, referrals, and returning patients according to physician and office guidelines
- Obtain and enter insurance authorizations and related correspondence into patient charts and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of visit
- Arrange financial counseling for patients as needed
- Cover other front office functions and contribute to the efficiency of the office

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years of medical office work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computer systems; knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow office policies and procedures

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in scheduling outpatient appointments, testing, or surgeries
- Familiarity with oncology/hematology clinic environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
