      SUMMARY:

      The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the Payroll Consultant. The Payroll Consultant will be responsible for ensuring payroll processing is compliant with Federal and Multi-State Wage and Hour Laws.

      Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      · Expert in the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (“FLSA”) and the California rules set forth in the Wage Orders of the Industrial Welfare Commission and the Labor Code.

      · Responsible for overseeing accurate/timely payment of multi-state payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.

      · Identify and mitigate potential payroll-related risks and implement controls.

      · Participate in audits and maintain open communications regarding payroll developments.

      · Oversee and participate in payroll system enhancements, integrations and implementations, ensuring data integrity and calculation accuracy.

      · Monitor and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

      · Provide pro-active leadership and guidance to resolve payroll issues.

      · Interact with payroll employees ensuring payroll process is compliant with federal and multi-state wage and hour laws, including researching and responding to payroll related questions.

      · Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

      · Assist with any other additional projects assigned.

      QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

      · Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge

      · Evaluate current methods and suggest alternatives and/or improvement when applicable.

      · Working knowledge of corporate retail environment.

      · Ability to reprioritize projects frequently.

      · Must be able to fulfill all essential duties and responsibilities listed above.

      · Must have ability to multitask.

      · Must lead by example.

      · Must be punctual and work planned schedule.

      · Must maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

      · Volunteers willingly for additional responsibilities.

      · Maintains exemplary degree of professionalism with all company employees.

      · Ability to apply mathematical concepts.

      · Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and use basic problem solving skills.

      · Proficient in use of Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office software; knowledge of MS Access preferred.

      · Able to effectively utilize basic office equipment.

      · Experience working in ADP proffered.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

      · Strong knowledge of federal, state and local wage and hour laws.

      · Extensive knowledge of ADP and/or equivalent payroll software experience.

      · Experience in leading payroll system enhancements or integrations.

      · High volume (10,000 plus employees) payroll processing experience.

      · Bachelors Degree required.

      · 3+ years in a director role.

      · 10+ years payroll experience.

      LANGUAGE SKILLS:

      · Excellent interpersonal skills

      · Strong verbal and written communication ability

      What to Expect?

      Annual Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000: Offer placement within this range is dependent on a variety of factors, including prior relevant experience, qualifications, and skill set.

      Based out of HQ in Irvine, CA with a minimum of 4 days in office.
