      Job Title: Payroll Coordinator


      Job Description

      Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees. Provide support for group benefits programs and assist with Human Resources programs and activities. This role offers significant growth potential, with opportunities to advance to a Payroll Administrator role and eventually learn about benefits.

      Responsibilities

      • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees
      • Support group benefits programs
      • Assist with Human Resources programs and activities
      • Understand and calculate hourly, salary, and shift differentials
      • Monitor COBRA and assist with paperwork/enrollment
      • Maintain PTO and other administrative functions
      • Handle confidential information, filing, and employee verifications
      • Act as the backup for the receptionist during non-payroll weeks and PTO
      • Participate in the social committee and help organize office events

      Essential Skills

      • Experience with payroll processing and payroll systems
      • Minimum of two years of experience in payroll coordination
      • Understanding of hourly, salary, and shift differentials
      • Experience with multi-state payroll processing
      • Basic understanding of shift differentials
      • Experience with Paycom is a plus

      • Ability to work with confidential information
      • Strong administrative skills
      • Experience with Canadian payroll is a plus but not required

      Work Environment

      Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, on-site. This role is part of a collaborative team where payroll and benefits are closely intertwined. The Payroll Coordinator will report to the Payroll Manager, who is process-driven and numbers-focused. The team values dedication and a willingness to learn, and there are opportunities for growth within the company. The work environment also includes participating in the social committee and organizing office events.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
