Position Summary

The Payroll Coordinator reports to the Payroll Manager and is responsible for preparing and processing bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls for approximately 660 employees across multiple states. The position requires high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail. Other responsibilities include issuing checks, creating direct deposit accounts, processing tax garnishment, uploading 401(k) files to third-party administrators, and supporting the Payroll Manager.

Essential Duties

• Perform all activities to process bi-weekly/off-cycle payrolls
• Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately
• Address payroll and timekeeping inquiries from employees and managers
• Coordinate with HR team to ensure proper workflow of employee data
• Create and distribute reports
• Oversee payroll accounting, entries, and reporting
• Maintain and update accurate payroll records
• Analyze payroll issues and provide appropriate resolutions
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge
• Implement quality control measures
• Follow and enforce company policies, federal, state, and local laws
• Assist the Payroll Manager with the global payrolls and special projects

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in performing all payroll functions
• Demonstrated knowledge of payroll practices and relevant payroll laws and regulations
• Experience in UKG and Workforce Dimensions systems
• Proficient in MS Excel and report writing (BI experience preferred)
• Experience processing multi-state payroll

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $70k - $80k. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
