- Managing the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll.
- Overseeing and ensuring accuracy of computations, statutory deductions, and timely disbursements.
- Managing the company's 401K program, including employee education, enrollment, and compliance.
- Handling wage garnishments and levies in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Developing systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments).
- Coordinating timekeeping and payroll systems.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and internal and external audits.
- Resolving issues and answering payroll-related questions.
- Creating and implementing payroll policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Strong knowledge of 401K management and wage garnishments.
- ADP Workforce Now Preferred.
- Proficient with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong numerical skills and an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
