      S3-Sutter Shared Services-Valley

      Position Overview:

      This position is available to work from home in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.

      Reviews, audits, and processes approved timekeeping records and expenses reimbursements requests. Calculates pay integration for eligible individuals on leave of absence. Uploads payment/data files, and moves employees in and out of paid time-off accrual plans. Approves manual payments, calculates and processes retroactive and other pay adjustments, and makes tax deposits. Prepares accurate and timely final payment for individuals leaving the organization.

      *Payroll Tax, along with strong Excel experience is highly desired.

      EDUCATION:

      HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)


      TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:


      2 years recent relevant experience.


      SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
      Knowledge of payroll cycle and processes, and applicable payroll laws and regulations.

      Knowledge of applicable wage and hour laws.

      Understands how to apply and calculate pay integration with state assistance/benefit payments.

      Ability to read, comprehend, and apply policies, procedures, practices, union bargaining agreements and recordkeeping requirements.

      Ability to learn and understand new processes and concepts quickly.

      Ability to compute and apply basic mathematical functions and computations, including percentages, decimals and prorated amounts.

      Critical thinking skills with the ability to recognize, research and resolve questionable data, and to determine solution or next steps.

      Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

      Organization skills and attention to details.

      Displays a customer service focus in all decisions and actions.

      Ability to prioritize workload to complete assignments accurately and timely, and to meet strict timelines.

      Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.

      Demonstrates respect for cultural and linguistic differences and promotes an inclusive work environment.

      Demonstrates initiative in providing feedback/input to improve workflow/processes.

      Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.

      Pay Range is $28.25 to $40.95 / hour. California Pay Range is $28.25 to $40.95 / hour. Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Texas Pay Range is $25.42 to $36.86 / hour. Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Utah Pay Range is $22.60 to $32.76 / hour.

      The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
