      How You Will Make an Impact:

      The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position will collaborate with HR and Finance teams to manage payroll operations, resolve payroll-related issues, and provide excellent service to employees. The Payroll Specialist must be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

      What You Will Do:

      • Payroll Processing & Compliance:
        • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees in assigned care centers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
        • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, wage regulations, and company policies.
        • Maintain payroll records, deductions, and withholdings, including garnishments, benefits and retirement contributions.
        • Audit payroll data for errors, inconsistencies, or discrepancies and make the necessary corrections.
        • Assist with payroll tax filings, including W-2 reporting.
      • Timekeeping & Reporting:
        • Review and reconcile timecards from the company’s timekeeping system.
        • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies by working with employees and managers.
        • Generate payroll reports, including labor cost analysis and payroll summaries for cross-functional teams (e.g. Finance & Accounting).
      • Employee Support & Problem-Solving:
        • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
        • Assist employees with all payroll-related concerns.
        • Educate employees on payroll policies and procedures.
      • Process Improvement & System Administration:
        • Support payroll system updates, implementations, and testing of system enhancements.
        • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automations to reduce manual work.
        • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
        • Serve as a data integrity champion to ensure accurate data is entered into the company’s timekeeping software.

      What You Bring:

      • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
      • 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a mid-to-large organization.
      • Payroll certification is a plus.
      • Exceptional knowledge of payroll best practices and multi-state tax and wage regulations is preferred.
      • Experience with ADP Workforce now preferred.
      • Strong skillset with Microsoft Office.
      • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking ability for the accuracy of data is required.
      • Ability to exhibit emotional maturity, professionalism, and flexibility amid changing and/or stressful situations.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding confidential and sensitive information.

      Travel:

      • Some travel expected, up to 5%

      CCRM’s Compensation: The salary range represents the national average compensation for this position. The base salary offered will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge. The pay range does not reflect the total compensation package. Our rewards may include an annual bonus, flexible work arrangements, and many other region-specific benefits.
