      The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency dedicated to the mission of protecting and serving Oregon's consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate. The department administers state laws and rules governing workers' compensation, occupational safety and health, financial institutions, insurance companies and building codes. The department has consumer protection and education programs, offices, and ombuds to help consumers, injured workers, and businesses.

      This position is with the Division of Financial Regulation (DFR). DFR’s mission supports that of the department by protecting Oregonians’ access to fair products and services through education, regulation, and consumer assistance. The division is responsible for ensuring the safety and soundness of financial institutions, the availability and affordability of financial products, and the fair treatment of consumers. Functions include licensing, regulating, and monitoring the conduct of banks, credit unions, financial services providers, health care service contractors, insurance companies, and licensed or registered agents of such entities.

      This position is eligible for hybrid remote work on a part-time basis once the incumbent has gained the proficiency to perform work independently. Regularly scheduled in-office hours are required at least two days a week. The incumbent may also be asked to work in- office for trainings, team meetings and other events on an as-needed basis.

      Here’s what you will do:

      As the PBM Administrative Specialist, you will provide administrative, operational, and program support for the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) Compliance team and the Consumer Education and Engagement team. Duties include:

      • Preparing correspondence consisting of reports, memos, letters, or other information as necessary

      • Arranging meetings with division staff and industry stakeholders

      • Attending meetings, taking notes, and preparing memos on the content of those meetings

      • Receiving and independently handling telephone and written inquiries regarding Oregon statues and rules regarding PBM compliance

      • Managing complaint intake procedure, monitoring complaint inbox, and entering complaints in the appropriate tracking tools to ensure excellent customer service for complainants

      • Compiling reports using databases and other sources

      • Compiling statistics to measure progress of programs to complete necessary workload measures

      Here’s what you need to qualify:

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis

      OR

      • An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis

      OR

      • An equivalent combination of education and experience

      • Comfortable independently tracking a wide range of tasks and responsibilities that compete for time and attention
