- Maintain registration with the relevant regulator (i.e. CQC), ensuring compliance with regulatory and best practice standards (e.g. RRN and STOMP) and that all notifications to a regulatory body / external agencies are made as required.
- Ensure the service and all colleagues are always inspection ready, focusing on fanatical attention to detail (FAD) and that when rated nothing less than perfection is acceptable.
- Responsible for maintaining up to date knowledge of all ACG Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure that all processes are adhered to and regularly monitored to ensure compliance.
- Using PowerBI and Nourish reports to carry out regular meetings with the team and identify areas of improvement always looking for new and improved ways of working as well as celebrating when progress is made.
- Necessary to have a relevant leadership qualification for example Level 5 Diploma
- Formal qualification relevant to the field of Positive Behaviour Support, and / or reducing restrictive interventions, or relevant equivalent
- Teaching qualification/train the trainer in MAYBO, or relevant equivalent
- Previous health and social care experience at management level, ideally with multi-site leadership experience.
- 5+ years leadership experience of leading services specifically designed for individuals with complex needs, including 2+ years’ experience leading complex PBS services.
- Experience setting up new services and leading staff to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Experience of managing budgets desirable.
- Experience of making informed decisions sometimes in difficult circumstances.
- Knowledge of the CQC regulations for the service, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Health and Safety Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), Safeguarding frameworks and RRN standards.
- In depth knowledge of positive behaviour support model & strategies
- Understanding and creating PBSP with functional understanding of behaviours of concern & corresponding plans of care
- Significant experience supporting individuals who do not primarily use words to communicate and may have a diagnosis of Autism, a Learning disability, and/or dual diagnosis with Mental Health
- Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience of governance processes within social care
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual and able to provide direction to all colleagues in the service.

Main duties of the job
The PBS Complex Operations Manager (COM) is responsible for the delivery of high-quality, person-centred complex positive behavioural support services in compliance with regulatory standards and all relevant legislation. The COM has full ownership or accountability for their services, putting obsession for the wellbeing of the individual at the forefront and always striving to be the very best UK Employer by leading, managing and inspiring their team whilst maintaining 100% occupancy, achieving financial targets and delivering operational excellence. The role will include services within the Croydon, Caterham and Slough regions.
