What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide coaching and support to clients to help them avoid rehospitalization and crisis care episodes
- Assist clients in achieving recovery from mental illness and substance abuse issues
- Teach and support clients in performing household activities and accessing reliable transportation
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and strategies
- Ensure timely and accurate sharing of information with team members, considering cultural sensitivities

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma
- Completion of Division-approved Peer Specialist Certification Training
- Volunteer or employment experience in a human services setting
- Valid Driver's License with auto insurance and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual skills are desired to better serve clients from diverse backgrounds
- Previous experience working with individuals with severe mental illness or substance abuse issues
