What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Engage with callers over the phone, providing peer support and building rapport
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while working from a private office space
- Offer available resources and information needed by callers
- Stay calm and professional while multitasking and supporting individuals in crisis
- Collaborate with fellow Peer Support Specialists in a structured environment through ongoing meetings and training

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire necessary certification in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Commitment to personal recovery and growth

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
- Familiarity with the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL) and its services
- Skills in building empowering peer relationships
- Previous participation in team-building activities or training sessions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends
