Seeking caregivers to assist with my Husband, Tom's care. Tom is a funny, loving, smart Husband, Father and Grandfather who suffered a stroke in 10/2020 and has ongoing weakness on his right side and expressive aphasia (he has a hard time coming up with the right words.) He has worked very hard to recover to be here for his family. Tom lives at home with myself and our tiny dog, Gabby. He uses a wheelchair, but can walk short distances with assistance. He needs help with daily cares and assistance with his exercise routine and therapy.

Ideal candidates are self motivated, kind, reliable and responsible and willing to be part of a larger caregiving team. A good sense of humor, patience and a positive attiude are a must. CNA certification or previous personal caregiving experience is a bonus, but not reqiured. Tom is 6'3" and does require assistance with transitioning from sitting to standing and positioning at times so candidates must be phyiscally strong enough to help as needed.

Evening hours are ideally 8-9:30 or 10 to help Tom do some stretching, move to bed and get items ready for the following day. We guarantee a minium of 2 hours for each shift. We are currently looking for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday evening coverage. Ideally, we would want a commitment to at least a few shifts/week. Additional hours may be available if interested in afternoons or longer shifts as well.
