      The Opportunity

      ***This position is remote, work from home, in a call center environment, that is highly structured and regimented.***

      We are seeking a dedicated Personal Lines Account Manager Mid-Level for our department! This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

      Work Schedule Availability: 5 day 40 hour work week Monday - Friday 6:30am-7:00pm CST.

      In this role you will advise on personal lines insurance products and provide coverage to members and nonmembers. You will underwrite applications for USAA and multiple additional admitted and non-admitted carriers, adapting to each carriers’ unique underwriting platform to ensure appropriate pricing for members with risk and exposure beyond USAA's appetite.

      What you'll do:

      • Use a consultative approach to establish trust with members with various risk profiles to resolve their needs and recommend and provide solutions based on extensive personal lines products which may include auto, non-standard auto, home, condominium, dwelling fire, renters, personal article's floater, umbrella, specialty property (ex. wind, coastal and brush), boat, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, collector car, high value home and excess and surplus lines.

      • Provide relevant service offerings for issued products in all US states and territories.

      • Evaluate USAA and additional carriers to address each member’s and/or nonmember’s risk profile, adhering to unique underwriting criteria and process requirements ensuring appropriate approval and pricing to issue and service member policy.

      • Underwrites policies using a critical thinking/resource-based approach to include property appraiser/permit search/carrier manuals/verifying data with supporting documentation, etc. vs. a system/member-led approach.

      • Use USAA core systems as well as Agency systems including comparative rater, agency management system, and multiple systems to settle appropriate product and terms to recommend to the member or nonmember.

      • Document all policy information, carrier correspondence, and carrier forms in Agency Management Systems/ Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to facilitate members’ and nonmembers’ insurance renewal process.

      • Provides policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and record updates within agency systems.

      • Initiate, collect, review, and validate process and procedure change recommendations from team members through collaboration; provide recommendations to senior level teammates and management.

      • Serves as line of business subject matters expert; provide training support during employee onboarding.

      • Support other Personal Lines Account Managers in handling customer concerns as they arise.

      • Ensures risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

      What you have:

      • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

      • 2 years of Insurance sales and service experience and/or experience working in a Personal Lines multi-carrier insurance agency or broker setting.

      • Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for home state and/or ability to obtain home state and multistate license within 90 days.

      • Advanced knowledge of personal lines coverages and services.

      • Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures.

      • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

      What sets you apart:

      • 4+ years Personal Lines experience in areas of High Value Homes, Wind or Florida and/or California Property. .

      • Active P&C Personal Lines License for home state.

      • Experience with Agency Management System and/or Salesforce.

      • Experience working in a multiple carrier environment.

      What we offer:

      Compensation: USAA has an effective method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $51,900.00 - $88,590.00 .

      Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
