Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Handles a high volume of sales opportunities from various lead sources and partners. Counsel coverage and offer multiple product lines to clients in order to close business and meet or exceed monthly business goals and objectives. Diligently updates our CRM to stay current on leads and follow up.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for devising creative solutions to meet client needs as to coverage and costs.
• Actively seeks to grow the SimplyIOA Personal Lines Direct Sales Division business.
• Owns the entire top of funnel pipeline, including identifying and acting on sales opportunities.
• Manages new business, including:
• Conducting client research and gathering all necessary information to ensure proper coverage.
• Perform any necessary or requested online rating.
• Preparing complete, accurate submission applications and submitting them to carriers.
• Evaluating coverage and pricing.
• Generating and presenting quote proposals.
• Binding coverages.
• Qualifies leads and converts them into sales opportunities.
• Maximizes opportunities by cross selling/bundling any available lines of business.
• Make necessary follow-ups to ensure no lost opportunities.
• Keeps CRM current with updated notes on sales progression.
• Contacts underwriter and submits forms when necessary to obtain Evidence of Insurance.
• Ensures that policy requirements are fulfilled, including the completion of appropriate forms.
• Selects a company that offers the type of coverage requested by the client to underwrite the policy.
• Attends in-house meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts. Participates in ongoing growth and professional development.
• Actively always promotes SimplyIOA culture and a positive work environment, including participation in team-building and other activities.
• Maintains frequent and transparent communication regarding individual performance and activities with supervisor, and seeks, accepts, and implements performance coaching.
• Customizes insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks.
• Under the direction of a Personal Lines Direct Sales Supervisor, the employee will meet all performance requirements, including production, quality, service, and ensuring that no liability associated with errors and omissions occur.
• Delivers outstanding client service at all times, including proactively anticipating client needs, maintaining frequent and professional client communication, and responding quickly to any sales related requests.
• Complies with all company work rules, standards, and policies and procedures.
• Maintains a high degree of technical competence and industry/market expertise.
• Ensures professional skills are continuously improved by actively participating in internal/external development opportunities.
• Develops and maintains positive, productive relationships with SimplyIOA leadership, peers, co-workers, teammates, and employees.
• Regular and consistent attendance is expected and is a necessary component of the job.
• Will be required to maintain Continuing Education Credits to maintain active status level of insurance licensure.
• Adhering to assigned work schedule to ensure availability for our clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• General office support/administration when requested or assigned
• Manages incoming mail, faxes, and other correspondence
• Back-up for teammates as needed, covering for others in their absence and ensuring overall team service excellence
• Participates in training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development of the administrative team, account assistant, and or new hire.
• Lifting and carrying large equipment/boxes over 5 lbs.
• Bending and stooping to utilize necessary office equipment
• Participating in team-building and other activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Valid Property and Casualty license with the ability to obtain licensing in all 50 states
• Must possess outstanding verbal/written communication skills.
• Must possess strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Must have office equipment experience and be PC and internet proficient.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment.
• Be of exceptional personal character.
