- Recognised competency based level 1/2 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. NVQ or equivalent demonstrable experience)"

Job summary
To assist the office manager in ensuring the facilities within the healthcare department are effectivelymanaged, you will provide a high standard of portering services and housekeeping, escorting visitorsand contractors into and around the prison. You will deal with patients, healthcare colleagues and otherprofessionals over the phone and face to face.
The post holder will be a motivated and enthusiastic person who will have the necessary skills tosupport and monitor our partners, AMEY who deliver the estates and cleaning contract within theprisons, ensuring the department is maintained to appropriate standards for the delivery of healthcareservices.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide effective support, share knowledge, skills and expertise with healthcareand AMEY staff in providing clean safe environments for patients, visitors and colleagues in line withHMPPS cleaning and estates contracts. You will require the appropriate people, co-ordination,communication and collaborative skills to undertake this task effectively.
The post holder may need to work flexibly to respond to the needs of the service and the department,which operates on multiple sites on a 7 day a week, 365 days a year basis.
The post holder will require knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH and Infection Preventionstrategies, relating to standards of hospital cleanliness such as Personal Protective Equipment andColour Coding and Moving and Handling.
