      Job summary

      We are seeking a number of Pharmacy Dispensers to join our team at the Outpatient Pharmacy at King's College Hospital. As a member of the Outpatient pharmacy team, you will contribute to the provision of a range of pharmaceutical services: dispensing and issuing prescriptions, giving advice where appropriate, working alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure all pharmacy duties are carried out in accordance with legal guidelines and departmental procedures to meet the needs of our customers.

      Main duties of the job

      This post would suit an individual with a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment. Further training and development will be provided. You must have either successfully achieved the relevant units of pharmacy services skills NVQ level 2 (QCF) or the relevant units of an equivalent GPhC accredited training programme. You should have experience in working as a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser, good communication and experience of using computer systems for dispensing, stock control and word processing. You will gain experience with hospital-only medicines and close working with multi-disciplinary teams. The Outpatient pharmacy is based at Kings College Hospital, London. Our Opening times are Monday - Friday 8am 9pm, Weekends and Bank Holidays 9am-5pm. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week to meet the needs of the Business on a Rota basis.
