What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise pharmacy purchasing specialists, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Oversee medication and pharmaceutical supply procurement operations, including inventory management and compliance
- Collaborate with various teams to maintain pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing technologies
- Generate and assess pharmacy supply chain reports to optimize drug spending and minimize waste
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drug procurement communications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school graduate or equivalent; one to two years of college preferred
- Current Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician II licensure and National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a focus on purchasing and supply chain in a healthcare environment
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with purchasing software systems
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
