      Pharmacy Storekeeper / Courier

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitable candidate to join the Pharmacy team in the role of Pharmacy Storekeeper / Courier.

      This post covers 2 areas of rotating duties:

      • The storekeeper role is within the Pharmacy fluids store with responsibility for receiving deliveries, top up and delivery of fluids and medication to wards/departments and stock maintenance.
      • The Courier role is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of orders and medication between the Pharmacy dispensary and wards/departments.

      Hours of work will be:

      • Storekeeper - Monday to Friday 08.15 - 16.30
      • Courier - Monday to Friday 09.30 - 17.45

      The post will also include a 1 in 4 weekend and bank Holiday rota working Saturday 08.30 - 13.30 and Sunday 08.30 - 13.30 with a rota day off the following week.

      Main duties of the job

      The Pharmacy Support Assistant (Storekeeper / Courier) performs a variety of routine duties in relation to the top-up and supply of pharmaceuticals both stock and non-stock items and related products to all wards and departments at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

      The post holder generates orders for IV fluids and related products and undertakes the related administrative duties to ensure effective running of the pharmacy fluid store.

      They ensure the timely collection of pharmacy orders and delivery of pharmaceuticals to all wards and departments.

      The post holder undertakes general courier duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy and moving of bulk products and equipment as required.

      The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
