      Job Summary

      The Pharmacy Technician, reporting to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist, assists in the non-discretionary tasks of preparing and dispensing medications, as well as other duties as assigned within their scope of practice.

      Pay Range

      Minimum $24.96 Midpoint $33.07 Maximum $41.19

      Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

      Experience Minimum Required: Six weeks of Pharmacy externship training OR two years inpatient/acute care Pharmacy experience. Experience Preferred Desired: Two years inpatient pediatric Pharmacy experience. Education Description: Education Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED Education Desired Preferred: Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology Training Description: Training Minimum Required: Graduated from an ASHP accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program and a minimum of 240 hours of externship, OR two years of inpatient hospital experience with a state license. Training Desired Preferred: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification Special Skills Description: Special Skills Minimum Required: Proficient in English, verbal and written communications skills, and pharmaceutical calculations. Must be able to type and accurately perform computer entry. Special Skills Desired Preferred: Knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding (sterile and non-sterile) , familiarity with Automated Dispensing Cabinet use and other IV workflow automation; and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.). Licensure Description: Licensure Minimum: Pharmacy Tech Licensure Preferred: Pharmacy Tech Board Cert CPhT

      Work Environments - Functional Demand:

      Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
